As the winter chill begins to ease, we find ourselves stepping confidently into Term 3 – the final stretch before exams and the exciting wrap-up of yet another milestone year at Aspeling High School . It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the end of 2025. In just three years , Aspeling has grown from a dream into a thriving community where learners, staff, and families come together to shape a new kind of education – one that’s grounded in heart, innovation, and inclusion. Nelson Mandela Day 2025: Change a Life, Change a Future

Every year on 18 July , we pause to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela — a man who gave his life so that others could live in dignity, equality, and hope. At Aspeling High School , Mandela Day is not just about remembrance. It is a call to action — because remembering Madiba means carrying his dream forward. One of Mandela’s greatest dreams was that every child in South Africa — no matter their background — would have access to quality education . He believed: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” But how far have we really come? We live in a country still deeply scarred by apartheid . A system that not only robbed millions of opportunity — but passed down poverty, inequality, and hopelessness from generation to generation.
